Product managers are home to technical experts who work together to design and build our software and product roadmap, whereas our QA team is constantly aimed at enhancing the quality of our platform delivery through test methodologies for implementations, upgrades, and migrations.
Team and Role OverviewAdenza is seeking a highly motivated and innovative individual to join our xVA engineering team. As a software engineer, you will be responsible for the design and development of new modules and enhancements, as well as the maintenance of existing components. The Adenza system is a large-scale software product for the capital markets supporting trading, risk management, and processing of various financial products such as Interest Rate, Equity, and Credit Derivatives.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and implement new features and modules in the company's financial software system, and improve existing ones
Work with Product Management to analyze and understand business requirements
Work in close relationship with the Quality Assurance team
Assist the Product Support team with customer problems
Contribute to customer satisfaction with bug fixing for the xVA and adjacent modules
Bring innovative ideas to improve our products, the quality of deliveries, and development processes
Safeguard and improve code and product quality

Skills And Requirements

Experience in professional software development using OOP and functional patterns in JAVA 8 and above
Excellent problem-solving, object-oriented analysis, design & development skills
BS and/or MS in computer science or related field or equivalent experience
Development experience in distributed systems, reliability, scaling, and UI development on large code bases
Familiarity with Spring Boot, Hazelcast, Rest services, and some web UI skills
Knowledge of relational databases and SQL, preferably Oracle, Postgres, H2
Experience building software for capital markets, and some familiarity with market risk, credit risk, and or xVA concepts
Familiarity with testing frameworks Junit, Jmock, Cucumber, Jacoco, and code quality analysis tools like Sonar
Git, Gerrit, Gradle, Jenkins
