Location: Oslo (Norway) or London (UK). 

We are looking for a Principal Product Manager to help us to solve some of the hardest challenges for our customers in our Air Product Portfolio. In this role, you will work alongside our team of stellar engineers, data scientists, sales, marketing, and customer success. Your work will be both strategic and tactical. We require deep experience in high-growth SaaS B2B. We are looking for a leader who will be inspiring, empathetic, articulate, detail-oriented and data-driven. You will own the product vision and roadmap from ideation through delivery to market launch and work together with our development team to deliver an outstanding user experience enabling Xeneta to strengthen its position as the one true global reference point for ocean and air freight.

Key responsibilities in the role

  • Define opportunity size and product strategy for our Air Product Portfolio.
  • Work to define and prioritize the most valuable market opportunities for Xeneta to continue to grow. 
  • Design, prioritize, obtain buy-in, and execute the roadmap for our air products. 
  • Influence executive leadership, and collaborate with marketing, customer support, sales, and engineering to solve the most complex challenges for our customers.
  • Dive deep into data, to understand our data partners and define the commercial, technical and design integration plans.
  • Demonstrate understanding of our industry, our customer, and our data. 
  • Own company-level goals and OKRs, reporting progress to executive leadership.
  • Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders ensuring that customer feedback is heard and effectively managed. 
  • Work is both strategic and tactical. You will manage and prioritise the product backlog effectively, writing user stories in collaboration with UX Designers and Tech Leads to and provide clarity to the product development teams.
  • Alongside product marketing, you will run the Go-To-Market process for your products ensuring internal alignment and readiness for launch.
  • You will monitor and measure launched products and feed learnings back into the product development process. 
  • You will mentor other members of the Product and UX team to raise the bar for Xeneta’s product team.

Required skills and background

Your professional background and experienceWe are looking for someone with 10+ years’ experience in product management, ideally B2B SaaS data analytics software. In addition, you have: 
  • Experience impacting long-term strategy for a major product or suite of product.
  • Ability to leverage data and anecdotes to inform product strategy and development.
  • Understanding of modern cloud technologies and data processing techniques. Ability to articulate and discuss architectural design decisions.
  • Ability to deliver independently but also to know when to escalate. Ability to earn trust and to up-level the entire tech and product organization.
  • Continuous improvement of product processes to optimise the business value.
  • A desire to mentor team members in the Product and UX function, and across the company.
  • An understanding of the shipping and/or air freight logistics industry would be a plus. Likewise experience in a similar industry which has undergone significant digitisation to price transparency.

  • You are outcome-oriented – able to articulate the customer problem to be solved and focus the team around this goal.
  • You are customer-centric and have a passion to instil this focus throughout the product development team, including hands-on experience acting as the voice of the customer and writing user stories. You are passionate about a great user experience which delights our customers.
  • You are confident yet humble – we work as a team, solving challenges together.
  • You can build collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders – inspiring them with your product strategy and building trust through delivering valuable business outcomes.
  • You are fluent in English: oral and written.
