Description

You will be able to model the right behaviours and help those that report to you through ensuring that opportunity is present every step of the way. Whether that be training or putting the right coaching and mentoring in place.
About the role
- Direct line management of between 10 and 15 engineers across software delivery.
- Growing a department of successful engineers across software development and testing. Collaborating with each engineer to put in place a strategic plan of training, coaching and certification, empowering them to meet their career goals while adding value at CFC.
- Working with delivery leadership to understand and recruit the right people and skills into the department to meet CFC strategic goals.
- Run day to day administrative aspects of engineering, such as, ensuring that all engineers have everything they need to be successful. Ensuring that HR activities (holiday approvals, etc.) are carried out appropriately.
- You will work alongside peers (other managers) to further the line management practices within CFC. Improving on performance frameworks and using your experience to influence the culture in positive ways.
About you
- You are an experienced Engineering-manager with a clear focus on the development and professional growth of engineers. This role will have a clear focus on line-management.
- You understand what good looks like as a manager of people and are able to draw on your past experiences to implement this within CFC’s Engineering department.
- You truly believe in servant-leadership and are motivated by the success of the department/group/team and understand that their success is your success.
- You have built high performing departments previously – we are looking to grow and grow quickly.
- Relevant certifications are a benefit. E.g. CMI, ICPM, etc.
