Job Description

The purpose of the role is to gain an understanding of credit risk management process and linkages to other sections of CAB with a view to assist the Credit Risk team maintain an effective end-to-end credit risk management process, including assessing and continuously monitoring the creditworthiness of the Bank’s clients and counterparties.

We do not expect the Intern to readily possess prior finance or credit risk management knowledge, but we would expect the Intern to be curious and interested to learn about credit risk management.

Responsibilities:

As part of his/her responsibilities, and under the guidance of an assigned mentor/supervisor, the intern is required to:

• Gather and collate data and information needed by the Credit Risk team to process credit applications.
• Perform credit administration, monitoring, and reporting tasks.
• Participate in meetings with various stakeholders.
• Ensure flexibility and full understanding of assigned tasks, seeking clarity where necessary.
• Ensure all mandatory assessments are completed within stipulated timeframes.
• Report back on lessons learnt or problems faced during completion of tasks.
• Perform any other duties and tasks assigned by the supervisor.
