We are currently seeking a London Agreements Manager withinour Commercial team. This role will be key in supporting the effective operation of commercial agreements between RDG, TOCs, TfL and other London partners, to deliver significant sums of revenue to our members.
What can I expect to do in this role?
This role will be a key part of the wider Commercial team and the successful candidate will need to grasp complex challenges of new ticketing technologies and associated commercial agreements as well as legacy agreements to support commercial negotiations and develop solutions.
Therefore, we are looking for an experienced, highly motivated person who is commercially focused and highly analytical. The role requires a highly organised individual who can demonstrate the ability to learn quickly, work with and coach others to achieve their goals, and can also be hands-on as required to get things done.
Requirements
Professionally qualified with a relevant degree/postgraduate qualification, plus broad relevant managerial experience; or hold substantial relevant experience and proven success in Commercial roles.
It is essential you are able to demonstrate experience or competence of:
Commercial and financial acumen;
Highly analytical, with strong experience of undertaking and delivering detailed analysis to senior stakeholders
Strong understanding of the rail operating environment, ideally gained through experience of working in a Train Operating Company or Owning Group environment.
Good working knowledge of rail industry revenue management systems and settlement processes.
Knowledge of the existing commercial agreements between RDG, member TOCs, TfL, London Councils, and Police Forces is beneficial.
Experience of commercial contract negotiations where there are significant budget implications
The ability to foster and maintain strong working relationships both internally and externally.
