The Health and Safety Advisor plays a critical role in promoting and ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for our employees. This position involves developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs, policies, and procedures to minimise workplace hazards and risks.

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
Risk Assessment: Conduct thorough risk assessments and inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and safety concerns.
Policy Development: Develop and update health and safety policies and procedures in compliance with relevant regulations and industry standards.
Training: Plan and deliver training programs to educate employees on safety procedures, emergency procedures, and the proper use of safety equipment.
Incident Investigation: Investigate workplace accidents, incidents, and near misses to determine root causes and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Compliance: Ensure the company’s compliance with health and safety regulations and keep abreast of changes in legislation.
Safety Audits: Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to assess compliance with safety standards and recommend improvements.
Emergency Response: Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures and first aid protocols.
Safety Culture: Promote a culture of safety within the organisation, encouraging employees to actively participate in safety initiatives.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of safety-related incidents, training, inspections, and safety equipment inventory.
Safety Committees: Collaborate with safety committees or teams to address safety concerns and drive continuous improvement.

MORE ABOUT YOU
NEBOSH NGC or equivalent
Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations, standards, and best practices.
Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Analytical mindset with the ability to assess and mitigate risks effectively.
Proficiency in using safety management software and tools.
Previous experience in a similar role is preferred.
Experience in ISO45001 preferred.
