In this role you will manage a portfolio of major losses involving highly technical and complex claims within the Casualty line of business and in accordance with corporate guidelines, the conditions of cover, standard level agreements and specific delegated authority granted. This role includes relationship management of clients, underwriters and other service departments.

Key Responsibilities

  • You will handle formal and informal referrals from team members falling outside their financial/coverage authority or area of expertise.
  • You will negotiate settlement of claims to bring them to a successful conclusion - This may involve policy holders, other professionals, insurers, loss adjusters, brokers, solicitors and third parties
  • You will provide technical supervision for other team members and provide mentorship on the claims assessment process ensuring consistency of approach.
  • You will represent Chubb at internal and external meetings including review meetings with brokers, key clients and local market representatives.
  • Your workload includes involvement in technical projects as directed.
  • You will also assist in preparation of management reports on major claims issues relative to lines of business.
  • ACII qualification or country equivalent, with considerable market experience. 
  • You will continue to develop technical and broader business skills. 
  • You will bring a comprehensive understanding and experience of claims handling within an Insurance company, Lloyds (where relevant), or insurance broker environment.
  • Comprehensive experience of the specific business line with associated legal aspects
  • Proven experience in dealing with brokers and clients.
