Hospitality Manager | Head Chef | Full-time permanent | Spire Gatwick Park | Horley West Sussex

Spire Gatwick Park are seeking a hospitality manager to lead, drive, develop and manage a dynamic, passionate, hard-working team to deliver a customer focused, five-star experience to all Patients, Consultants and Colleagues at the hospital.

The Hospitality Manager will play an active role within the hospital management team, attending key meetings, contributing to the delivery of the Hospital strategy within the non-clinical team, controlling budget (including staff costs) and ensuing all policies and protocols are followed.

The role will suit someone that is a hands on chef looking for the next step up into a management role.

Duties and responsibilities:

Ensure that all legislative regulations regarding food hygiene, licensing, health & safety, risk management is complied with.
To manage the Hospitality services team with line reports of the catering and pantry team
To plan and organise Catering for the hospital on a day-to-day basis.
To ensure effective day to day control of all staffing rosters and pay expenditures
Responsible for Food Safety Standards within the hospital
Active hands on chef role

Who were looking for:

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
A proactive, enthusiastic, self-starter with the ability to work on own initiative without supervision.
A problem-solving approach and a leader of change
A professional attitude with a concern for quality and customer service
Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Outlook, Word, and Excel
Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate (Level 3)
Previous managerial experience
Ability to adapt menus to meet special dietary requirements.
Hospitality (or Hospital) background - desirable
Experience of managing a budget - desirable
Health and Safety Experience (IOSH trained) - desirable

Hours: Full-time permanent, Day shifts only
