Distribution Centre and Logistics Manager at Acushnet Company

Job Descrption

Our Distribution Centre is at the very hub of our business covering 70,000 sq ft and with 4,000 pallet spaces and 8,000 active sku’s it is a busy, complex and fast paced operation.

We currently have a new and exciting position for an experienced and driven Distribution Centre and Logistics Manager to join us on a full-time basis.

Reporting into the Director of Customer Experience,  this is a pivotal role which will lead and inspire the operational teams to deliver a consistently outstanding customer experience, which is after all what you would expect from the #1 brands in golf.

Working in a time critical environment across multiple order channels including B2B and B2C, you will be responsible for a two-shift process and a large team of up to 100 in peak.  This is very much a hands on role, involving direct management of the day-to-day operations of our UK warehouse, supervision of our 3PL partners, and management of distribution logistics activities across EMEA. Additionally, you will drive significant change management initiatives while promoting a culture of continuous improvement.

Our Distribution Centre is a fast-paced operation so there will often be a need to make quick operational decisions and to use your initiative, whilst ensuring that we maintain a safe working environment looking after our best asset – our people. 

Because of this we are looking for an experienced and proficient leader who can put the customer at the forefront of decision making, who feels comfortable communicating at all levels.  A strong influencer with the ability to lead from the front and who is comfortable to drive significant change and improvements.   

With a strong educational focus, ideally a degree, in a numerate subject, you will be exceptionally organised, have advanced Excel skills and be fully proficient in managing a modern WMS ERP system.  Knowledge of AS400 would be beneficial but is not essential.
