Context

This is an exciting new role in the Asset Management COO team, for a Lead Business Analyst to drive and lead business analysis for our sustainability function.

This is a key role within the team, taking ownership of the appropriate outcomes in relation to the requirements, considering how they feed into the wider Asset Management strategy to determine the priorities and dependencies. 

In this role, you will be exposed to a broad range of implementation-focused activities including production and oversight of the change roadmap and, sharing and communicating any key dependencies to the appropriate Delivery Lead(s) or Project Manager(s), stakeholders and global suppliers. 

 

Key Responsibilities

Managing Business Requirements

  • Define, challenge, manage and prioritise business requirements throughout the lifecycle; from discovery through to implementation and sign off, to ensure maximum business value is delivered
  • Carry out effective business impact assessments, including documentation of current and future state to determine how changes from the current to future process and structures will affect business units and roles. 
  • Translate and simplify technical information and business needs into more easily understood language, for relevant audiences

Technology & Tools

  • Using various tools and technology in line with the asset management ways of working (i.e., Jira and Confluence)
  • Provide support for the development process, involving all appropriate stakeholders, including all planned tasks from start to finish

Governance & Controls

  • Establish appropriate Governance & control measures within projects which align with overall Change and Company standards
  • Keeping technical and business knowledge up to date in area of expertise (e.g. relevant legislation changes, product rules)

Stakeholder Management

  • Collaborate with all internal and external stakeholders to ensure that any solution meets the requirement, fits business design principles and is in line with the business case.

Solutions Design

  • Perform analysis on 'Change Requests', 'Issues' and 'Risk'. Providing information, options and recommendations
  • Work with all parties to ensure that any new or changed processes, systems or functionality implemented is fit for purpose. This includes providing support to the development and business teams undertaking UAT
  • Proposing pragmatic, innovative, cost-effective solutions to business needs

Business Readiness / Implementation

  • Work with business teams to support business readiness and production monitoring/proving activities, where appropriate
     

What we're looking for

Knowledge and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience in an asset management environment; understanding of the complexities of the domain and the end-to-end life cycle of asset management including the reporting and regulations to ensure compliance
  • Proven experience in leading in-depth business analysis service to design, build, test and implement solutions to support the strategic roadmap in a growth and transformational environment
  • Experience in creation and analysis of functional specifications for technology systems
  • Understanding of agile methodology
  • Perform critical analysis on data gathered from multiple sources using data tooling, reconcile conflicts, decompose high level information into detail and propose informed solutions/support informed decisions

Technology & Tools

  • Experience of using Microsoft Office, JIRA, Confluence and project collaborations
  • Experience of working with Cloud based services such as AWS and Azure
