We have an incredible opportunity to join us as a Oracle Cloud EPM Consultant in our Finance Data Systems & Change team within the Finance Reporting Centre to team.

Who are we?

We want to be the best place that any of our 6,800 colleagues have ever worked.

We’re the UK’s largest long-term savings and retirement business. We offer our 12 million customers products across our market-leading brands, including Standard Life, SunLife and ReAssure, with c.£259 billion of assets under administration. We’re a FTSE 100 organisation that is tackling key issues such as transitioning our portfolio to net zero by 2050, and we’re not done yet.

The role

The role will give the successful candidate an opportunity to lead, shape and develop the increased use of Oracle Cloud technology across our Finance functions as we continue our transformational journey to our strategic end state. Initially focussing on the system support for our EPM modules, the role will also provide an opportunity to further grow in the role by expanding knowledge to the Cloud ERP modules.

You’ll ensure adherence to process controls to ensure compliance and identify improvements to mitigate risk and increase efficiency. Develop and maintain the appropriate technical/operational standards and quality assurance processes. Provide a solution assurance role to BAU and change activities as required.

You’ll maintain awareness and monitoring of key dependencies (both internal and external) on Finance plans and activities, assumptions and constraints impacting on BAU or change, escalating any risks or issues to the appropriate stakeholder. Escalate issues that have potential to lead to scope creep or an impact on budgets, timescale or resources using established governance frameworks.

You’ll act as a consultant and strategic partner in impact assessing, proposing, and designing end to end solutions using industry best practice and innovation, combined with understanding the optionality available within and across the Finance estate.

As coach to others and you’ll contribute to knowledge transfer within the team to enable continuous cross-skilling and improved capabilities and reduce dependency on third party support partners. This includes being open to becoming an expert on Cloud ERP modules. Ensure all colleagues using EPM modules fully understand how to work in a cloud technology enabled environment and get the most of our investment and the strategic partnership with Oracle.

Provide expert diagnosis, guidance, and advice to colleagues across Finance and the wider business in relation to related projects and transformations, engaging with key technical and functional stakeholders including at the executive level, and including other key SMEs such as architects.

What are we looking for?

We need someone who can come in and hit the ground running.  The successful candidate will be hands on in supporting our transformational journey.

You’ll also be pragmatic, innovative, and cost-efficient in your approach to solutions to complex problems, providing new perspectives if required and be able to simplify the most technical information into more easily understood terms for a wide range of audiences to support business decision making.

We want to hire the whole version of you.

We are committed to ensuring that everyone feels accepted and welcome applicants from all backgrounds. If your experience looks different from what we’ve advertised and you believe that you can bring value to the role, we’d love to hear from you.

If you require any adjustments to the recruitment process, please let us know so we can help you to be at your best.
