This role leads the Digital function in our Commercial team. Responsible for the digital experience for all our customer facing products & services. Over the last 5 years we have transformed our digital technology to support passenger expectations, developed new capability using leading enterprise technology platforms and set the foundations for future growth.

We now need an experienced leader to help us build further in 3 areas:

1) finish building our digital foundations;

2) trade, merchandise & maximise the value from our new digital platforms including improving our use of data and managing & growing hundreds of millions of pounds of eCommerce revenue per year; and

3) innovate with fresh ideas to deliver new digital products, services & experiences that help grow our revenue & passenger satisfaction.

• Strategy & Planning – Develop & deliver our digital strategy whist creating a digital transformation plan for the future.
• eCommerce Revenue & KPIs – Deliver & grow our eCommerce revenue.
• Product Management / Service Ownership – Overall digital development leadership of several business areas
• User Experience & Content Delivery
• Marketing Technology - Personalisation, Testing & Optimisation
• Budget Accountability
• Team Management

• Multiple years’ experience as a senior digital leader for a major brand, retailer or eCommerce business
• Experience of operating at a senior management level or higher
• Strong proven experience in a commercially focussed environment
• Experience managing substantial teams in a matrix environment
• Experience of leading significant digital transformation projects
• Significant experience of dealing with external agencies (technical, creative & other)
• Solid strategic & tactical knowledge of eCommerce trading, merchandising, optimisation and how to drive digital channel shift & direct sales
• Practical understanding of analytics & digital KPIs
• Purpose & values at the core of what they do
• An ability to think quickly, solve problems & be action orientated
• Creative & innovative thinking, with an ability to identify & drive opportunities to build value for Heathrow, our passengers & our colleagues
• An ability to concisely and coherently explain our digital ambition to internal stakeholders, suppliers & at external events
• Travel/ Leisure, Hospitality, Retail, Loyalty sector experience would be desirable but not essential

Working Location

Our agile approach offers the opportunity to combine home working with meetings, events and training at the airport. All roles involve some on-site working each week, so you’ll need to be based in the UK and within a commutable distance to Heathrow.
