Assistant Location Lead at Airparks

Job Descrption

Salary: up to £46,000 per annum DOE plus profit share bonus & benefits

Hours: 42 per week (12 hour shifts, 4 on/4 off shift pattern)

We are Airparks. We’re leading the way in changing the shape of airport parking by providing a service that customers can trust. As part of the Holiday Extras Group we want to ‘Remake Holidaymaking’ and help our customers to have ‘Less Hassle and More Holiday’.

We’re looking for a fantastic people manager to join our diverse and dynamic team as an Assistant Location Lead of our Birmingham Airport car parks. This is an excellent opportunity for anyone with several years experience of managing a fast paced, operational environment. Reporting to the Location Lead for the company you will hold day to day accountability for the operation, team and customer experience of a busy airport car park, which includes business critical KPIs and audits as well as supporting the growth and development of our people.

Your people skills will be key to your success by ensuring your team of staff, managers and customers feel valued and listened to. You will need to be able to engage and inspire members of the team, driving forwards the core principles of the business - Great Service, Ownership, Team Spirit, Innovation and Trust. You will also need to ensure that the customer remains at the forefront of everything you do.

Working for Airparks no two shifts are ever the same, so you will be someone who can lead from the front, make a positive contribution through effective deployment of resources and get the best from your people through great communication skills together with utilising 1-2-1s, appraisals and opportunities for team development.

Requirements

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • At least 3 years experience in people management, performance management and strong development skills
  • At least 3 years experience of working in a fast paced, service lead, customer facing business operation
  • High levels of emotional intelligence, with your resilience having a positive impact on those around you
  • A calm, pragmatic approach when working in a dynamic environment
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence at all levels
  • Fantastic organisation and prioritisation skills
  • A strong relationship builder with the confidence to resolve conflicts
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining fantastic customer service
  • A business leader who thrives and achieves their best when working as part of a team
  • Full UK Driver’s Licence

Bonus:

  • PCV Driver’s Licence
  • Experience of working for a transport, travel or service orientated operation
