Day to Day ActivitiesManage and execute monthly accounting close activities and deliverables in NetSuite, Tipalti, Expensify, TravelPerk and RAMP including journal entries, account reconciliations, analytics and reporting, while ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP and internal controls over financial reportingAnalyze and reconcile complex Balance Sheet accounts, identifying and resolving discrepanciesPerform monthly flux analysis of Income Statement accounts to ensure proper accrual and expense codingPartner with cross-functional business partners and third parties to foster working relationships, implement best practices, support digital transformation initiatives, and drive continuous process improvementsDocument all processes and procedures, create necessary accounting memos and standard operating procedures (SOP) in line with control activitiesSupport external audit and tax requirements. provides audit schedules, account reconciliations, and supporting documentationMaintain month-end close and compliance calendarParticipate in ad hoc projects as needed
Desired SkillsCPA with Bachelor or Master degree in AccountingMix of public accounting, startup and established public companyAttention to detail and accuracy is a mustAbility to demonstrate sound judgment even in ambiguous situationsExperience working with a fast-paced, high-tech start-up or complex companyExperience with researching and documenting support for accounting conclusionsDemonstrated history of solving multiple complex operational and accounting challengesWhimsical appreciation for robots strongly preferred
Base pay is one element of our Total Rewards package which may also include comprehensive benefits and equity etc., depending on eligibility. The annual base salary range for this position is from $122,000 to $155,000. The actual base pay offered will be determined on factors such as years of relevant experience, skills, education etc. Decisions will be determined on a case-by-case basis
