Finance Assistant – Entry-Level Opportunity in Horsham, West Sussex

About the Role: As a Finance Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the finance team in their day-to-day operations. Your responsibilities will include managing aged debtors and creditors, processing invoices, maintaining customer databases, and ensuring accurate financial record-keeping. You'll also have the chance to develop into a management accounting role, with opportunities for further exposure to various aspects of the finance department as you progress.
Key Responsibilities:
• Create and maintain customer orders in CPA/SAP.
• Raise and... process customer invoices, and allocate incoming payments.
• Monitor and reconcile aged debt and supplier statements in SAP.
• Input manual invoices and process supplier invoices and credit notes.
• Manage shared inboxes and respond to finance-related queries.
• Provide cover for colleagues in the finance department when needed.
• Actively contribute to a positive team environment.
What We’re Looking For:
• A good general education, ideal for college leavers eager to start a career in accounting.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Outlook.
• High attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• A willingness to learn, develop, and pursue external study/accountancy qualifications.
