Reporting to the head of Software Asset Management, you will be responsible for supporting the operational and day-to-day management of software at Wood Mackenzie. You will leverage industry best practices to govern and manage software and subscriptions, software license entitlements, software renewals, inventory tracking, database entry, and software license compliance activities. You will work as a Subject Matter Expert and act in both a detective and preventative capacity to ensure compliant IT operations, procurement, and cyber security.
Main Responsibilities
Work as a subject matter expert in matters relating software management
Supply up to date knowledge and understanding of license agreements
Maintain an accurate record of software assets and utilization including subscriptions and services.
Provide management reports on compliance, risks and trends requiring action.
Supply up to date knowledge and understanding of license agreements working with existing and new suppliers to assess relevance and impacts of change.
Educate users and promote licensing best practice.
Ensure licensing implications of new technologies are identified through the project pipeline are considered, risk managed and appropriate financial provisions made.
Provide input to the design and implementation of IT policies, methodologies, tools and standards.
Support negotiations for license acquisition.
Support response to external vendor license audit. #LI-NT1
Qualifications
About You

Experience in a similar IT/Software Asset Management role.
Experience with ServiceNow SAM module
Knowledge and understanding of licence technicalities for major IT vendors including Microsoft, Oracle etc.
Broad expertise of corporate software license management, procurement lifecycles and best practice.

Expectations
This role is hybrid-based and the successful candidate will be expected to work a minimum of 2-days per week from one of our offices. Some weeks may require more than 2-days in the office.
Due to the global nature of the team, a degree of flexible working will be required to accommodate different time zones.
