Job Description
The Product Manager is responsible for product planning, delivery, and reporting throughout the product lifecycle.
They will develop a roadmap for the product based on input from internal stakeholders, customers, market research and their own industry insight.
They will work closely with Development/Engineering and other teams to deliver products that align with this vision, meet market needs and are delivered to a consistently high-quality standard.
They will identify the key benefits and value of products. This will be used to create and maintain marketing plans and collateral (including web updates, product training materials and sales training).
Main responsibilities:
- Responsible for 1 or more Products and the associated Product Owner(s)
- Define the product strategy and roadmap aligned to the Vision defined by CPO and Director of Solutions
- Manage the product throughout its lifecycle from concept to delivery
- Collect, manage and maintain traceability of requirements from all stakeholders across product releases
- Write the business case for investments and gain internal approval
- Write Product Requirements and Market Requirements documents
- Work with internal stakeholders and third parties to assess and establish internal/external partnerships
- Develop a plan of action for the products based on a long-term goal
- Promote the product to sales teams through sales training sessions, webinars, newsletters and other mechanisms
- Manage product releases and support delivery projects to deliver to plan
- Collate feedback from sales and customers
- Represent the voice of the customer in senior level management meetings
- Evangelize the product internally and externally
- Be recognized as a leader in the business and build relations with business stakeholders
- Commission market and competitor research
- Contribute to overall market strategy and segments and how the roadmap and capabilities of the product align
- Proactively drive product/services/competitor knowledge improvements across the association solution to continually improve business intelligence and awareness.
- Support the portfolio prioritisation process
- Agreement party for any roadmap or development dependency in client sow or contract within the associated solution
- Line Manager for Product Owners
- Any other duties commensurate to the grade of the role.
