Job Description

Role Purpose

Our Metals and Mining (M&M) Sales team is a dedicated team of specialists who partner with our clients to understand their needs and support them to fulfil their business goals. We are on the lookout for an experienced individual to drive new business development in EMEA across all industry sectors.

Main Responsibilities

  • Proactive outbound and inbound new business development
    • Identify and prioritize new business opportunities, executing strategies to open doors and close deals to achieve your annual target.
    • Collaborate with the Marketing team to implement effective promotional and prospecting programmes.
    • Attend industry meetings & events to build new relationships and business opportunities. 
  • Territory planning
    • In partnership with your manager, develop and maintain a sales plan for your territory to establish a profitable M&M research business with new clients.
    • Collaborate with various stakeholders, including Regional Sales, Product Specialists, and Consulting, to execute your plan.
  • Own the sales process:
    • Take responsibility for all aspects of the sales process, including prospecting, qualification, negotiations, and closing.
    • Collaborate with the Account Management team for a successful client handover process post-deal.
  • Accurate sales forecasting:
    • Effectively manage the business pipeline to ensure accurate forecasting in Salesforce.
  • Product and sector expertise:
    • Develop a stron understanding of the value of our Metals and Mining solutions and the sector to support new business identification, including uncovering new audiences and growth sectors for our Metals and Mining solutions.
    • Collaborate with Product and Research teams to provide customer feedback and insights for product development.

Qualifications

About You

  • You will have several years’ experience of new business development, preferably in the natural resources sector, extra points for Metals and Mining knowledge.
  • Proven track record in building trust, winning new customers, and meeting sales targets.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and results-oriented individual with effective organizational and planning skills.
  • Passionate about business growth and personal development.
  • Solution-oriented thinker with superior written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in collaborating with different internal teams for commercial success.
  • Intellectual curiosity about how data and analysis solve critical business issues.
  • Previous experience with Salesforce would be advantageous.

Expectations

  • We are a hybrid working company and the successful applicant will be expected to be physically present in the office at least 2 days per week to foster and contribute to a collaborative environment, but this may be subject to change in the future. 
  • While this is expected to be a full-time role, part-time or flexible working arrangements will be considered.
