This opportunity is best suited for candidates in their penultimate/ final year of study looking for a summer internship.
Our global Geospatial team leads on the management and best practices of geospatial datasets that feed into our Lens product (Upstream, Metals and Mining, ETP, LNG, Chemicals, and more).
We provide mapping and geospatial support for a variety of projects including tasks such as training on geospatial data editing, geospatial analysis; spatial quality capture and checks, we set geospatial standards on production pipelines, consultancy support, and cartographic map production.
About the role:
Collaborate with team members on a bespoke project to build out some of our newer industry spatial datasets. This role will allow you to understand the key considerations when building new data pipelines, together with which tools we need to develop help enable a handover to our data team. In our Geospatial team, you will be able to explore the breadth and complexities of managing geospatial within a large-scale business.
Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification with a quantitative, statistical, energy, and/or numerical focus.

Some experience with GIS and ESRI ArcGIS software products
Comfort with technical information, GIS practices, and conventions
Some knowledge of GIS software to create queries and perform analysis of location, relationships, trends, patterns, adjacency, containment, and proximity of complex features and data.
Some knowledge of GIS programming, computer operating systems, and networks is beneficial
