Job Description

The Account Management (AM) function is the Client face of Sequel and the interface between current and future Clients and the Sequel organisation, with responsibility for revenue growth and overall client satisfaction.

The purpose of level 3 roles within Account Management is to build knowledge and a network internally and externally to support business growth and client engagement. Assignment of 2-3 strategic clients.

Main responsibilities:

  • Responsible for Revenue Planning, including pipeline management.
  • Responsible for Revenue Recognition, in line with current financial processes.
  • Responsible for Client Satisfaction and continuous improvement in NPS.
  • Responsible for overall Relationship management between assigned Strategic clients and Sequel.
  • Responsible for management and resolution of assigned client tasks, including senior escalation management, new business sales, commercial and contractual negotiation and renewals.
  • Builds and maintains effective long-term relationships with key senior-level decision makers and influencers, both within Strategic clients and wider client base.
  • An AM may be aligned to a Product where justified by stand-alone client volumes and value.
  • Responsible for the delivery of assigned revenue targets.
  • Carry out regular proactive reviews with the key strategic clients.
  • Overall Responsibility, within assigned Clients, for:
    • Commercial Engagement
    • Pipeline and revenue growth, including cross product sales
    • Identifying and defining new service propositions
    • Account Governance, including Support
    • Drafting SOW and Contract’s for all Clients
    • Managing Relationships between Sequel / Product Heads and Clients
  • Any other duties commensurate to the grade of the role.

Qualifications

  • Senior C level engagement experience with at least 10 years relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Significant experience of commercial and contractual engagement, including relationship management.
  • Able to mange the initial negotiation and renewal of contractual agreements without support.
  • Significant Global Speciality Insurance Market experience within either a vendor or client role.
  • Experience of managing a global enterprise relationship either internally or as a vendor with greater than £1M per annum spend with complex multilayer relationship.
  • Specialist focus on specific Product as ‘trusted advisor’ at Client C level.
  • Informed and aware of all Sequel Products, practice and roadmaps.

Desired

  • Self-sufficient in the management of all sized client relationships.
  • Understanding and experience of the software delivery lifecycle, with experience in one or more functional roles.
  • Understanding of the Global Speciality Insurance and Reinsurance Market, processes and procedures.
  • CII qualified.
  • Other related professional qualifications (Lean Six Sigma/ Project Management etc).
  • Experience of the configuration and usage of Salesforce to manage client relationships and pipeline.
