This opportunity is best suited for candidates in their penultimate/ final year of study.
In the Power & Renewables Engineering teams we work closely with a variety of other functions and teams throughout Wood Mackenzie to build the products and processes that are at the forefront of the energy transition. We work on interesting, challenging, and important problems covering a variety of areas such as solar power, wind power, green hydrogen, carbon capture, real-time Power markets, and renewables policy. Every line of code you write is helping to change the way we power the planet.
About the role:
This role will allow you the opportunity to explore our technology stack, whether your interests are more frontend leaning, whether you’re more of a backend data engineer, or whether ultimately you want to be a full-stack engineer. You’ll be paired with a Senior Engineer who’ll help guide you through their team’s technical problems while also being supported and collaborating with the wider team.
As an intern you’ll be able to collaborate with our Product team to understand the problems our customers face and help design solutions to solve them. Write maintainable, testable, and optimised code, as well as break work down into small iterations and work with the wider team to solve them.

Requirements
Studying towards a Bachelor’s degree or professional qualification with a computing, engineering or data focus.
