Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity to join Publicis Groupe UK Finance team as our Finance Director UK Health responsible for our Health practice within our Creative, Health, Influence and Production practice.
Our Publicis UK Finance senior leadership team is responsible for profitable growth across our clients, ensuring that cross-collaboration and the Power of One is fully embraced.
The objective of the role is to set the strategic direction, financial reporting, and commercial optimisation for our UK Health Practice in partnership with our Health CEO. You will be a strategic partner to the UK Health CEO and their leadership team as we collectively look to shape and grow our business in this dynamic industry.
This role will predominantly be based in our office in White City, with occasional visits to our Windsor and Chancery Lane offices too.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic partner and finance lead for our UK Health Practice. Responsible for setting strategic direction, financial reporting and commercial and operational optimisation for Publicis Health UK in partnership with our UK CEO and Publicis Health UK Leadership team.
- With a proven experience of working in a publicly listed company environment, you will lead financial planning and reporting for your areas to deliver:
- Consistent, accurate and efficient financial information that informs business decisions in partnership with our UK, EMEA, Global, Groupe [Paris] finance colleagues
- Development of short, medium and long-term strategies in partnership with our UK Health CEO.
- Clear communication and analysis of performance, focused on opportunities, risks, growth optimization, cost control and pipeline management. Track our performance against key internal company metrics and external market benchmarks.
- Facilitate alignment of our health practice with overall Groupe strategies and Country objectives
- Collaborate with our Country Treasurer and the business to optimize our cash and trade working capital performance
- Partner with our UK Health Practice leaders to deliver commercial growth, supporting and evaluating business plans, negotiations and pitches. Review revenue streams, pipelines, and client profitability. Monitor and communicate key short and long-term risks and opportunities. Partner with the UK Country and our EMEA/Global/Groupe colleagues to deliver commercial best practice (compliance, negotiation, contracts). Grow our commercial UK Health Finance talent
- Deliver accelerated operating margin growth across the Practices through meaningful business analysis and insights
- Embrace technological changes to deliver efficient processes to maximize our business impact. Challenge the status quo, drive change and champion efficient ways of working.
- Foster accountability, maintain a strong controls environment. Ensure consistent application of Publicis Groupe policies and audit compliance
- As a member of our UK Senior Finance Leadership team, participate in setting strategy, objectives and people plans. Contribute to analysis on UK wide projects in close collaboration with UK Group, shared services, EMEA, Global and Groupe [Paris] finance teams
- Develop, lead and motivate our UK Health finance team to deliver against our country objectives in a fast-moving environment. Focus on talent planning, training and development, diversity and inclusion, clear goal setting, respect, collaboration and celebrating success
CRITICAL SKILLS
- Accomplished finance leader with a proven track record of leading finance functions to deliver quality financial reporting, change management, commercial expertise and business transformation
- Executive presence necessary to work with senior level management
- Experience in leading projects and tracks of work through to completion
- Committed, detail oriented, self-starter with strong problem solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work independently
- Ability to meet deadlines and work in time-sensitive environments
- Ability to lead individuals in a matrix environment
- Excellent communication skills to convey complex metrics and analysis clearly and accurately to internal teams and all levels of management
- Demonstrable track record of building, leading and retaining high-performing and execution-oriented teams with a wide range of experience and seniority levels
