Job Description

We're looking for a Strategy Director to join our Media & Comms Planning team, working on a new client win in the Beauty industry! This is a really exciting opportunity to make this role your own and lead on overarching global strategies, to creating an innovation process to deliver award winning work.

The Strategy Director is a key collaborator with clients, client planning teams and agency teams. You are responsible for setting the narrative and ensuring that our work is tackling our clients’ biggest challenges, not just their written brief. This requires you to get under the skin of our clients’ businesses, whilst keeping close to the latest media innovations and effectiveness to drive sustained growth.


What do your responsibilities look like?

  • Driving the vision for communications and media success and ensuring everyone is aligned in delivering it. Collaborating with planning, channel and data and analytics teams ensuring everyone is aligned in delivering it.
  • Receiving and interrogating high profile briefs. Analysing the forces that will Impact success and identifying strategic opportunities to harness them for the benefit of our clients.
  • Delivering key internal strategic workstreams, planning and insight training as well as encouraging agency creativity and innovation.
  • Fostering a strong a relationship with your key clients and across other stakeholders across Digitas
  • Contributing to new business pitches In a strategy, planning and ideation capacity
  • Coaching and upskilling existing talent within the agency and bringing in new talent where necessary to create a robust planning function.
  • Drive incremental opportunities (cross-sell and upsell) for Digitas and the client through an in-depth understanding of both businesses.
  • You’ll have a large amount of client-facing responsibility from leading strategic responses by local market, key focus on DACH and UK regions delivering genuine data-driven insight to client teams.
  • Connected to the strategic client output you’ll be responsible for delivering, part of your role will be to present work in agency forums, lead agency brainstorms as well as identify and develop award entries.

Qualifications

What skills do you need?

  • Proven track record of elevating media conversations to encompass broader business and communications challenges resulting in tangible results across paid, owned and earned channels.
  • Proven experience consulting with senior clients to develop integrated comms plans
  • Be up to date with trends and sharing this with strategy teams alongside contributing to thought pieces and external events.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, being able to relate to people at every level of an organisation, and to establish and maintain respect both professionally and personally (internally / externally)
  • Ability to act as role model for junior planners
  • Ability to tell a strong story through PowerPoint and win clients and internal stakeholders over to their approach.
  • Understanding of effectiveness best practice and a willing to improvise to deliver competitive advantage

Publicis Groupe operates a hybrid working pattern with employees being office-based on Mondays and two other days during the working week.
