We are looking for a Senior Risks and Controls Lead to join our team based in Chancery Lane, where you will own the risk management and internal control across the UK market. You will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive risk management strategies and ensuring the effectiveness of internal controls across all agencies. This is a newly created role, and it would be the chance for you to be the change leader for risks and controls.

What the role involves

As our Risk and Controls Lead, you will develop and maintain an effective risk and controls framework across the UK market and take ownership of policies in line with relevant areas of focus, updated to mitigate areas of risk or respond to feedback from internal or external audit.

You will provide guidance and support to finance and the business on risk identification, assessment, mitigation strategies, including leading on training and development initiatives. You will work with agencies teams on process documentation and will be a super user of internal risk and compliance systems and tools, providing support across the UK Market.

Qualifications

What we are looking for

In this role, you will have a relevant progressive experience in risk management, internal audit or a related field. For our Controls and Risk Lead, you must demonstrate expertise in developing and implementing risk management frameworks, methodologies and best practice in a complex and challenging environment.

We also are looking for you to have:

• Excellent influential and collaborative skills, as you will need to partner with stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven track record of driving results in positive risk management, in a matrix organisation.
• Strategic thought with the willingness to take ownership and ability to identify then manage complex issues through to developing practical solutions.
• A focus on ‘customer service’ – both internally & externally, via a positive, collaborative mindset.
• A relevant accounting qualification, ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent.
