Job Description
WHAT is a Project Co-ordinator advanced apprenticeship?
You will work with colleagues across the business (Local and globally) in supporting of IT topics, all whilst developing your own skills and learning first-hand how a global, market leading entity makes change to improve its' own capabilities.
This role is about working with people, building your network is key to success. You'll become proactively visible, valuable member of the business and work to develop a strong reputation with all colleagues.
Key responsibilities.
- To effectively support the delivery of several IT projects and key developments for multiple IT applications
- Communication with key stakeholders to gather technical requirements
- Loading requests onto a IT portfolio application for tracking progress
- Liaising with technical developers based around the globe to implement solutions
- Ensuring robust testing is conducted by department key user(s)
- Manage the implementation through the project lifecycle
- Create, maintain relevant and necessary project documentation including open points lists, risk registers, communication plans
- Have a mindset which demonstrates new ideas and proactively engages with internal associates to promote self-branding
You will receive full training both one to one and self-paced online to achieve the required capabilities. Furthermore, you will also receive one to one coaching / mentoring to develop key competencies.
Qualifications
- Be sociable, outgoing individual who people like interacting with
- Able to show determination in dealing with challenges and finding solutions
- Be degree qualified preferably Business Administration, IT or equivalent
- Excellent communication and influencing skills combined with an analytical mind able to understand and interpret complex concepts
Desired skillset:
- Computer literate with a good knowledge of Microsoft Office packages is essential. Awareness of cloud and web technology as part of digital transformation would be an advantage
- A proactive and agile team player, the selected individual will be self-motivated, with exceptional time management skills
- Have the confidence to challenge and propose new ideas
- Demonstrates enthusiasm to learn and applies this knowledge using their initiative
- Good attention to detail and a quality mind-set
Additional Information
Expected Start Date: 12th August, 2024
Working Hours: 39 hours a week; Mon – Thurs 08.00 - 17.00 and Fri 08.00 - 16.00 with a 1- hour unpaid lunchbreak
Location: Worcester
