Job Description

The Role

You will accelerate outcomes for clients by promoting and orchestrating Merkle's Analytics capabilities in to integrated solutions that help achieve Merkle's and dentsu's CXM vision. This will be done by engaging with practice areas including Data & Mar Tech, Experience & Commerce, B2B, Customer Strategy, Media and Creative in the UK, EMEA and globally whilst also working with our partners. You will report into our Group Client Partner.

As a Solutions Director, you will define, pitch, and orchestrate Analytics solutions across our large portfolio of clients, working with Sales and Client Services to expand and win new work. The role, which includes line management responsibilities, is important to onboarding new clients and expanding the value we deliver to existing clients through analytics. Once clients have been onboarded, the role will support SMEs within our UK Practice areas to ensure the successful outcomes committed to are delivered.

Pre-sales Leadership - Overseeing a revenue number and growth target and working with our sales and client service teams to help accelerate deals and onboard clients, you will specifically:

  • Support opportunity creation e.g. participating in credentials and chemistry sessions, c-suite engagement, deal qualification and initial revenue forecasting.
  • Help create an engagement strategy for qualified opportunities e.g. contribution to a pursuit plan and development of solution requirements and client roadmaps.
  • Simplify and help package up our services to make us easier to buy e.g. requirements analysis, solution architecture, proposal development, cost optimisation and right-shoring.
  • Bring our offer and capabilities to life for different partners through storytelling to demonstrate the value and influence of analytics. This includes having a voice on the right profile and casting needed to pitch and run follow-up sessions.
  • Remove solution barriers to closing deals e.g. cost optimisation, commercial innovation, stakeholder engagement.
  • Align and work with all partners to finalise scopes of work and mobilise the necessary teams including the drafting up of SoWs and defining the service orchestration and programme set-up.

Solutions Leadership

  • Directly responsible for a small team of analytics consultants, they will be inspiring and someone, able to develop top- tier talent.
  • Lead teams to deliver pioneering projects around new analytics capabilities, being both an internal and external change maker.
  • Work with our clients in an advisory capacity to help them create and accelerate value from their data and analytics investments.

Main Success Metrics

Success will be measured through a range of strategic, financial, client, employee and cultural outcomes. Primary metrics will cover such important outcomes as:

  • Supported opportunity value and conversion.
  • Successful client onboarding and outcomes delivered in first twelve months.
  • Marketable success stories.
  • Development of sales-plays and propositions working in partnership with practices and capabilities.
  • Sell between services and expansion of opportunities.

Qualifications

 

You will need to be:

  • +10 years' experience in all things related to marketing analytics including advanced data analytics, digital analytics, media measurement, campaign and performance analytics plus data engineering.
  • A convincing subject matter expert with familiarity on the use of 1P, 2P and 3P data with geo-demographic and media panel data to guide client outcomes.
  • Someone with experience creating and sharing thought-leadership content.
  • Commercial and motivated by achieving commercial outcomes for Merkle and our clients, with an ability to evaluate and take acceptable risks to inspire innovation.
  • Collaborative with networking and relationship skills and the ability to win people's trust.
  • A credible and inclusive leader who can map out and define complex analytics and data requirements.
  • C-suite experience, with a Board Level presence and ability to collaborate with CMO's and Heads of Digital Marketing along with more functional leaders within organisations.
