The Role

We're looking for an Account Manager to join our busy team working on the KFC EMEA account and IG Group accounts. Reporting into an Account Director, you will be an important player in our team and will be the main go-to person for the client, other agencies and internally within Merkle. This is an important role within the team with a considerable degree of autonomy, which requires a experience being a self-starter and the ability to make informed decisions.

Essential to the role will be experience from either a CRM or Data agency, or client-side experience, with a knowledge of data-driven marketing, campaign delivery and managing end-to-end CRM programmes.

Life as an Account Manager at Merkle

As an Account Manager at Merkle, your daily role and main responsibility will be to ensure operational success for our clients.

You will be the first contact for all client requests and will have relationships with your with important stakeholders to ensure that ongoing monthly governance tasks are completed. This will require you to attend status meetings, for four different KFC markets different and represent Merkle at cross-agency sessions.

We are a close-knit team, and work collaboratively to deliver on innovative and strategic campaign plans for the four major European markets. The Account Manager role is vital in ensuring that all deliveries are successful and that the results and measurements are shared. As a team, we're always looking at how we can improve the CRM programmes, so your role will include supporting the Client Partner in implementing these improvements and efficiencies.

Part of your role will be in supporting the Client Partner to oversee the commercials of this busy and complex account, so an understanding of the agency commercial model will be key.

Qualifications

What you'll bring:

  • We anticipate you will possess circa 2+ years' experience working in a CRM or Data agency, or client-side experience, with knowledge of databases and data-driven marketing, campaign delivery and managing end-to-end CRM programmes
  • Proven ability to understand marketing strategy and be able to implement it through customer communication
  • Work with the Data Intelligence team and understand the value of data analytics, including customer segmentation and modelling, with an emphasis on retail, hospitability or QSR marketing
  • Experience establishing communication and engagement with prospects with the ability to gain gravitas with the client early on.
  • A team player with the ability to balance client priorities with agency commercials
  • Experience of managing multiple clients and projects, with added value and a curious and approach
