Job Description

What you'll do

The Senior Business Analyst is a primary role in ensuring the successful delivery and ongoing evolution of solutions for our clients. Part of this is being a key liaison between our clients and other roles within our delivery teams.

The role sits in the UK Data Practice, within the Data and Martech capability and will be primarily focused on projects/programs within this capability.

This is a highly visible position, as the Senior Business Analyst is entrusted with accurately eliciting and documenting our clients’ requirements and acceptance criteria at multiple levels of detail for a program of work or specific project.

What you'll do

Reporting into the Principle Business Analyst, the Senior Business Analyst is a primary role in ensuring the delivery and ongoing evolution of solutions for our clients. Part of this is being a necessary liaison between our clients and other roles within our delivery teams.

You will sit in the UK Data Practice, focusing on projects within the Data and Martech capability.

This is a visible position, as the Senior Business Analyst is entrusted with eliciting and documenting our clients’ requirements and acceptance criteria at multiple levels of detail for a programme of work or specific project.

  • Lead or help facilitate discovery workshops with multiple team members across different levels of a client’s organisation and internal Merkle and third-party partners, potentially across multiple locations
  • Interface with the client and work with teams within Data and Martech, plus wider areas of Merkle CXM, including being the conduit between areas/roles to support the project delivery process
  • Synthesise complex and contradictory information into concise, readable, unambiguous written requirements at multiple levels of detail and including acceptance criteria.
  • Take primary ownership for written specifications, from initial creation, through change management and solution delivery
  • Help create technical and data solutions into production by designing and supporting the formal client acceptance process, according to Merkle’s defined standards
  • Contribute to the design, development and QA processes ensuring the client’s requirements are met and traceable throughout
  • Support the continuous development of BAU solutions within the scope of the BA skillset
  • Support and own main measurements for specific clients or internal reporting
  • Perform as-is and to-be process definition to support the requirement process and affect change

Qualifications

What we're looking for in you

  • 5+ years’ experience of working as a Business Analyst or similar roles.
  • Excellent team member management
  • And ability to manage scope of engagement
  • Experience running discovery workshops with multiple team members with complex, and potentially conflicting requirements
  • Experience writing detailed specifications for solution delivery with a significant Data or Martech focus
  • Experience with Marketing, especially Customer Experience Marketing
  • Experience with test planning and use case documentation
  • Experienced with Word, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), PowerPoint, Project and Visio
  • SQL experience to conduct basic data analysis
  • Willingness to travel, can be up to 50%
