Job Description

Visa Consulting and Analytics (VCA) is a lead function within the broader Advisory Services arm of Visa. VCA drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa’s network clients, including financial institutions, merchants, governments and fintechs. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, marketing, operational improvement and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.  Our mission centers around improving the performance and profitability of our clients around the world.

The VCA Strategy & Operations (S&O) team within VCA CEMA is responsible for building up the supporting infrastructure to drive the accelerated growth plan for the world’s pre-eminent payments advisory organization.  This includes setting standards, defining go-to-market approaches, creating global platforms and solutions, plus driving operational performance for the function.

This role reports to the Head of Advisory CEMEA and works closely with the VCA CEMEA leadership team, including sub-regional leads, Practice Area leads, and Data Science and Engineering leadership.

The Head of S&O, supports the Head of Advisory in driving the VCA business strategy, performance management, business reporting, operations and strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

  • Help shape VCA strategy and operating model to deliver on the long-term VCA strategy
  • Lead the development of VCA strategic and business planning, including target-setting, investment planning, and driving budgeting process with Finance and People business partners
  • Lead the performance reporting and management, including pipeline management, revenue & margin management, client satisfaction, workforce/people growth, utilization and efficiency
  • Develop insights & recommendations to support the VCA leadership team in improving strategic and business plan performance
  • Support the Head of Advisory CEMEA in delivering high impact executive presentations and content for both internal, and high-profile external client events
  • Lead thought leadership for VCA CEMEA, including coordinating plans closely with the Visa Communications, Marketing and Events teams
  • Support operational oversight for the Head of Advisory CEMEA by driving the required VCA executive meetings all-staffs and content for VCA business reviews
  • Drive VCA talent upskilling by leading the enhancement, curation and management of onboarding and trainings
  • Serve as culture lead for the VCA CEMEA team, coordinating a team across the sub-regions and Hub to manage and enhance the VCA culture
  • Facilitate sharing of best practices across global and local Visa, Advisory and VCA teams

Work with limited direction, usually within a complex and often ambiguous environment, to drive rigorous, fact-based recommendations to senior management, other executive, functional, or regional management while supporting syndication with stakeholders across the organization

Lead a small business planning and operations team which is expected to expand to support the growth of the broader VCA CEMEA team.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•12 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 10 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters/MBA /JD/MD), or a minimum of 5 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
•15 or more years of experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or 12 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, or MD), PhD with 9+ years of experience
•MBA or relevant graduate degree from top-tier institution or similar academic experience
•Global or multi-national business experience strongly preferred
•Demonstrated success at structuring, managing, and coordinating complex cross-enterprise projects and processes with multiple stakeholders at both senior and junior levels
•Superior analytical and problem solving skills, with demonstrated intellectual and analytical rigor applied to a wide variety of business problems
•Strong executive presence and ability to clearly communicate compelling messages to senior leadership
•Strong interpersonal and leadership skills to influence and build credibility as a peer with Global Functions and Regions
•Commitment to continuous training and improvement of employees throughout the VCA function
•Team oriented, collaborative, diplomatic and flexible, with excellent presentation skills, including strong oral and writing capabilities in English
•Advanced PowerPoint and Excel skills required
