Job Description

The role is a combination of a product and business lead responsible for building out the B2B Travel business for Visa Commercial Solutions across MENA region. The individual will lead all market development activities to drive expansion of B2B Travel business including forming and driving Visa's B2B Travel strategy and launching and prioritizing product capabilities, as well as engaging with key partners including Global Distribution System partners, airlines, hotels and other travel partners and enablers.

This role, reporting to the Head of Visa Commercial Solutions, MENA will be responsible for supporting the achievement of ambitious issuer B2B travel targets. Additionally, you will be part of the broader Visa B2B Travel team regionally & globally.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • You will own and drive our B2B Travel segment strategy across MENA region, starting with key markets before scaling and replicating across the region.
  • The role will require you to collaborate with key partners both internal and external in executing Visa’s B2B Travel in the region, making key strategies, executing, optimizing portfolio as well as commercial arrangements.
  • As such, you will work with market teams to develop and execute sales pipeline in B2B Travel in the region, introducing new B2B products and services as appropriate.
  • Work closely with marketing, Global B2B Travel teams to evolve the Visa value proposition, products, and platforms globally to meet client/market needs in this ecosystem.
  • Work closely with ecosystem players including airlines, hotels, aggregators, travel enablers, travel associations, GDS and others to ensure close engagement, update on trends, obtain industry feedback and opportunities.
  • As the voice of the market and B2B Travel clients, you will need to provide feedback, develop product plans and collaborate with global B2B Travel product teams to prioritize and maintain product roadmap to drive future growth.
  • Be a thought leader and champion of innovation by staying current with industry trends, representing Visa in B2B Travel forums and market activities as subject matter expert.

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications
•8 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD

Preferred Qualifications
•9 or more years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor Degree or at least 5 years of experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 2 years of work experience with a PhD
•The successful candidate should have significant experience in B2B Travel industry either from issuer, acquirer or scheme
•Demonstrated track record in developing new strategies and product execution in this vertical will be at an advantage.
•Strong interpersonal skills to work collaboratively across functions and geographies in a complex matrix environment.
•Team player who enjoys working as part of a small, agile and growing team, with positive attitude, and aptitude and interest in learning new things
•Be open minded and excited about future technologies, willing to learn and work in a multi-cultural environment.
•Effective influencing and communication skills to secure buy-in from clients and stakeholders.
•A team player who is able to develop strong internal and external relationships ensuring uptake and delivery of Visa solutions
•Travel as required (50%)

Following background and experience will be advantageous
•Candidate with commercial card and/or payments experience
•Experience in OTA / OBT operational processing
•Experience in working with travel merchant acceptance
