The Director, Partnerships - Risk and Identity Solutions (RaIS) is responsible for working with leadership to develop the programmatic setup of the partnership opportunities, target segments, commercial structures, product bundles for those target segments, and for the commercialization, and productization of the partnerships.
You will be responsible for maintaining a comprehensive understanding the partner landscape and working with leadership in defining the RaIS partnership strategy. They will have deep knowledge of the global payments landscape and associated risk, identity, and fraud topics.
The successful candidate has very strong interpersonal and executive communication skills with the ability to develop strong working relationships and interface with many senior peers, internal stakeholders, external partners, and customers. The role will collaborate with other partner-facing teams including Digital Partners, and with Value-Added Services (VAS) sales teams and regional teams.
They will deeply understand our overall business objectives and connect that to detailed technical discussions internally and with partners. They must have a proven history of working with risk-based products and teams through all phases of a product’s lifecycle – from concept through management and ultimately sunset. They should have the ability to leverage well-structured empirical and financial artifacts to support their business plans and strategy.
The successful candidate will also need to be able to take a partnership initiative from concept to launch. This may include evaluating partnership opportunities, identifying potential partners, performing structured analysis to evaluate the commercial value, proactively socializing to develop the right level of commitment through that process, and collaborating to develop actionable plans.
Above all, this person must intrinsically be a champion for Visa’s risk products and promote usage within the company and to global clients. This position may require occasional travel to client sites and Visa locations around the globe.
RESPONSIBILITIES
You will develop the framework for evaluating partnership opportunities, target segments, and commercial structures in the context of our key business objectives
You will collaborate with Partnership, Product, and Technical leadership to develop solutions for client use cases across segments
Drive commercialization and productization efforts for partnership opportunities.
Maintain a deep understanding of RaIS, VAS, and broader Visa businesses to provide a holistic understanding of the implications for potential partnerships.
Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the fintech and vendor landscape of potential partners relevant to our fraud, risk, and identity business
You will lead continuous product planning and portfolio management in support of global business strategy and operations
You will maintain collaborative relationships with partner-facing teams (e.g., Digital Partners), and with VAS sales and regional teams across Visa
Conduct structured, objective business analysis of partnership opportunities
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
This role would be based in our Washington DC, Ashburn, VA or Atlanta GA offices- this role is not remote.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 147,400.00 to 180,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity.
