We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to join our team, with a focus on supporting our release management functions. This role is integral to our software development process and will involve managing, planning, scheduling, and controlling the process of moving releases to test and live environments. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background, a deep understanding of software development lifecycles, and a commitment to collaborative problem solving and quality product delivery.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
5+ years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 2 years of work experience with an Advanced degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or 0 years of work experience with a PhD, OR 8+ years of relevant work experience.
Preferred Qualifications
6 or more years of work experience with a Bachelors Degree or 4 or more years of relevant experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) or up to 3 years of relevant experience with a PhD
•Master’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field and 2 years of experience in job offered or in a computer-related occupation.

•Experience with REST and JSON.
•Proficiency in Java.
•Experience in Shell Scripting, UNIX, and LINUX.
•Experience implementing solutions for low-latency, distributed services using open standard technologies.
•RDBMS, Oracle, MS SQL SERVER, and AZURE.
•Agile development incorporating TDD, Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery.
•Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, Git, Docker, Kubernetes.
•Experience developing large scale, enterprise class distributed system or subsystems that require high availability, low-latency, and strong data consistency computing.
•Experience in cloud technologies and services with Azure, AWS or Google Cloud.
•Proficiency in managing multiple responsibilities and priorities in a fast-paced setting.
•Demonstrates a willingness and adaptability to engage with a diverse range of technologies.
•Outstanding abilities in analysis, troubleshooting, and clear, effective communication.
Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.
Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.
