Job Description

Visa’s People Advisory team is focused on balancing our capability, capacity & delivery of Visa’s people agenda through people related services & solutions for our clients. This is a key function that is supporting our People Team transformation and will continue to evolve and expand as the team grows and solidifies.

We are seeking a manager-level generalist with a client-centric mindset to provide consultative, advisory services to support managers, leading with empathy in responding to workplace matters and interactions. Initial areas of focus include execution against COE programs including annual reviews, promotions, immigration/mobility, performance management, workforce planning, reporting, and other policy interpretation, and consultation.

Reporting to the People Advisor lead for the Product & Technology Client Group, the incumbent will play a key role on elevating the front line and middle people leader experience across all People-related competencies and providing coaching to managers on a variety of people management matters.  This role matrix reports to a People Business Partner and will also support them on a variety of people team initiatives.

Essential Functions:

  • Provide support to People Leaders for a variety of situations and programs like performance management, talent development, annual review support, etc.
  • Lead efforts with People Leaders to facilitate effective management of teams and resolve issues that may arise in the workplace between employees and managers.
  • Respond thoughtfully to questions regarding HR policy, process on the topics above.
  • Provide detailed analytics and interpretation of data to drive informed business decisions.
  • Respond to inquiries and provide overall cross functional support as needed, partner with other people teams as needed for inputs and alignment.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:       

  • 2 years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD, or PhD)

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of work experience in related field with specific experience across a variety of Human Resource focus areas, managing medium to complex people issues.
  • Proven experience building rapport and being a consultative partner with middle management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, geographically diverse environment, juggle priorities and have an eye for detail to ensure delivery is always accurate.
  • Excellent PowerPoint and Excel knowledge with the ability to present ideas and data in a compelling way.
  • Strong analytical skills and business acumen
  • Emotionally intelligent, with a customer first mindset and able to think in the shoes of others.
  • Great interpersonal skills, team player and true collaborator and ability to solve problems quickly and efficiently through great communication and influence, cascade up, identify themes
  • Flexible and creative thinker
  • Ability to drive continuous improvement activities to exceed customer expectations and help promote a professional organization.

Additional Information

Work Hours: Varies upon the needs of the department.

Travel Requirements: This position requires travel 5-10% of the time.

Mental/Physical Requirements: This position will be performed in an office setting.  The position will require the incumbent to sit and stand at a desk, communicate in person and by telephone, frequently operate standard office equipment, such as telephones and computers.

U.S. APPLICANTS ONLY: The estimated salary range for a new hire into this position is 118,500.00 to 154,000.00 USD per year, which may include potential sales incentive payments (if applicable). Salary may vary depending on job-related factors which may include knowledge, skills, experience, and location. In addition, this position may be eligible for bonus and equity. Visa has a comprehensive benefits package for which this position may be eligible that includes Medical, Dental, Vision, 401 (k), FSA/HSA, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, and Wellness Program.
