Job Description
The Credit Settlement Risk (CSR) function is accountable for managing and mitigating the credit and settlement risk for Visa Europe Limited (VEL). The objective is to manage an appropriate risk versus reward balance, keeping within Board approved risk appetite. The function provides technical subject matter expert advice and support to the European business side of Visa and deals directly with clients on credit settlement risk topics.
The Europe CSR function is split into two areas: a first line credit portfolio and client engagement team, and a more second line strategy, reporting and analytics team. The Strategy, Reporting & Analytics Director will be part of the CSR leadership team and will be accountable for oversight of the CSR controls and support the first line of defence for CSR Europe via robust second line management and guidance.
The role will also be accountable for the data, analytics, management information (MI), and collateral management strategy for the Europe CSR team working closely with Global CSR on all of these areas alongside system and model enhancement The role will also need to co-ordinate with a number of stakeholders including the core Global CSR team, Regional CSR teams, the Europe Corporate Risk function, with the Senior Director in the Global CSR team being a key stakeholder.
What we expect of you, day to day
Accountable for the CSR second line, ensuring that the Europe team adhere to the CSR framework, procedures, policy standards, and controls.
Design and implement the delivery of CSR strategic projects, including but not limited to:
Generative AI
Risk versus reward strategy and frameworks
Financial risk management frameworks
Data analytics, modelling, and systems capability
Management Information enhancements
Accountable for a portfolio overview of the CSR client base including stress testing, scenario analysis, risk appetite and KRI’s.
Responsible for the enhancement and production of CSR reporting working closely with Global CSR on systems enhancements and functionality. This includes reports for:
Global CSR
Europe Risk Committee
Board Risk Committee
Lead a small, professional team facilitating an efficient and flexible approach.
Be accountable for collateral management controls for CSR Europe.
Drive the CSR strategy to enhance the use of data analytics and management information in CSR and VEL Risk building on the developments in Global capability and systems ensuring VEL CSR requirements are represented in Global initiatives.
Build strong relationships across the Global CSR management team, in particular Senior Director and Global Head of CSR.
Represent the Europe CSR team in building strong relationships across regions.
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
