This role will report to the Lead Technical Author and is responsible for the excellence of product information, mainly external but also used internally in some cases. It requires an experienced technical author who shall:
Support the product collateral and content management strategy for Visa Direct
Serve as a point of contact for product information
Liaise with SMEs across Visa Direct and other Visa teams to develop an in-depth understanding of their products
Work and collaborate with multiple teams in Visa Direct to ensure our content strategy continues to be fit for purpose
Be responsible for the quality and delivery of product information
Bring a new perspective to actively improve our ways of working, processes, toolsets, etc
Engage with stakeholders to gather feedback to support continuous improvement of the materials produced
This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
• Proven experience in creating product materials, including program and user guides and technical references
• Relevant experience as a technical author
• Technical background and/or comfortable upskilling in product and technical knowledge in order to create content independently
• Quickly understand complex technical solutions and concepts and can make them easily understandable
• Great attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across different disciplines both written and oral
• Comfortable with ambiguity and rapidly changing content and strategies
• Ability to challenge the status quo with confidence with an aptitude to seek out ways to improve
• Ability to forge good working relationships with key stakeholders and functional teams across Visa to improve collaboration and deliver better content, which is focussed on our user needs
• Ability to work independently, prioritise own workload to meet deadlines under pressure
• Excellent knowledge of Word and Adobe for content creation and maintenance
• Experience using authoring tools required, preferably Madcap Flare
• Fintech, financial services or payment industry experience strongly preferable
• Experience working within the Product function strongly preferable
