What’s it all about?

The Risk Business Partner & Strategy team protects the business as the second line of defence but also ensures strategic initiatives support the delivery of Visa’s Strategy and Risk Europe's objectives, focused Visa Europe Limited’s (VEL) growth objectives. Achieved by:

• Designing and evolving short and long-term strategies in collaboration with the commercial functions to amplify our sales opportunities
• Ensuring strategic objectives are delivered at speed in an iterative approach
• Overseeing multiple projects across Risk and other functions, managing updates, progress and reporting to stakeholders along with tracking new revenue into VEL.
• Identify, develop and execute on key projects within Risk that support the way Risk works, the business thinks and sells risk products.
• Lead cross-functional projects through planning, organizing and controlling projects from start to finish

What we expect of you, day to day:

The Risk Project Manager will be responsible for working collaboratively with the Europe Risk / Global teams and other Visa Europe functions to deliver key business projects and initiatives, applying recognised project planning and management tools including:

• Creating and managing project plans
• Defining project scope, goals, and success measures
• Setting milestones and managing resources and budgets
• Identifying potential risks across multiple projects
• Adjusting project targets as needed and making key decisions
• Ensuring synergy among teams working on the same project
• Delegating tasks based on functional expertise
• Managing deadlines and motivating cross functional team members
• Communicating effectively with stakeholders, including executives and project governance authorities
• Coordinating with cluster, global and external colleagues as required
• Providing insightful management information analysis on the status of projects, revenue projections and future opportunities
• Offering forward-looking insights on industry trends to enhance business opportunities.

As part of the PPSR, Risk Business Partner & Strategy team:

• Developing and driving a risk culture that supports delivery of the Europe Risk strategy and continue to be commercially focused.
• Supporting the delivering of key initiatives

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.

Qualifications

Knowledge & Experience

• Strong project management skills: planning, risk management, relationship building, leadership, and budget management
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in report writing and public speaking
• Ability to develop and deliver effective management information analysis
• Forward-looking insights on industry trends to enhance business opportunities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Ability to manage and influence high-level stakeholders
• Highly organised, analytical, and detail-oriented
• Leadership qualities including negotiation and conflict management
• Experience in the risk environment of financial services and knowledge of payment industry trends
• Proficiency in Microsoft Power Point, Excel, Word, and Outlook
• Experience in Visa products and services is an added bonus
• Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to achieve results as part of an effective
