Summary
The Associate, Europe Corporate Strategy is a member of Visa’s European Corporate Strategy team, responsible for Visa’s strategy development across Europe. They will own workstreams as part of key strategic initiatives, planning, corporate development and strategic intelligence gathering. Projects will support key areas of the business, whether functions or geographies, to meet their priorities such as P&L growth, creation of a new go-to-market strategy, or response to regulatory or competitive developments. She or He will typically be expected to work independently within a small team depending on the complexity of the project. This position is based in any Visa location in Europe, with occasional travel (less than 10%) required from time to time.
Corporate Strategy at Visa
The Corporate Strategy team has responsibility for advising the company’s leadership in Europe on the big questions they face across more than 30 countries in which Visa operates, and across all its functions such as Product, Sales, Merchants and Acquiring, and Technology. Example projects include a country growth strategy, market entry for a new product or service line, multi-year planning, determining the strategy in response to regulatory developments, Visa’s sustainability strategy. Consequently, the team has an excellent view across the priorities of the company at the highest level and broadest sweep.
We are a small team. This means everyone is expected to roll up their sleeves depending on the situation. We pride ourselves on being non-hierarchical and we work together in small, flexible combinations of people within our team and beyond.
What we expect of you day to day
- Lead or support workstreams on projects related to Visa’s overarching strategy in Europe and its sub-regions
- Work in teams that span multiple countries and functions
- Support the Strategy Team’s practice management (e.g. data sources, attending industry conferences, providing strategy input on new product development, planning team offsites and events, etc.)
- Knowledge sharing within the Corporate Strategy team and beyond
- Participate in continuous training with Corporate Strategy Team

This is a hybrid position. Hybrid employees can alternate time between both remote and office. Employees in hybrid roles are expected to work from the office 2-3 set days a week (determined by leadership/site), with a general guidepost of being in the office 50% or more of the time based on business needs.
