Job Description

As SEO Specialist you are responsible for maximizing organic traffic to cos.com, improving page ranking, and optimising the site for search engines.​ You will combine SEO data and insights with the buying strategy and content marketing plan to create an immersive content-driven customer experience that maximises our 'talkable moments' and key shopping journeys.​ 

In this role, you will help to set and prioritise technical SEO developments, identify the potential for growth and set the strategy to drive SEO performance in line with business goals. 

What you will do: 

  • Maximize organic traffic for COS websites, to reduce reliance on paid media
  • Deliver and execute global SEO strategies for COS websites that meet business goals and future-proof for growth​
  • Drive and prioritise SEO for regional COS websites, including setting requirements and acceptance testing​ 
  • Responsible alongside the Brand & Comms team to create and deliver our content strategy, brief articles and create clear optimisation strategies  
  • Work synchronously with digital marketing functions at group, global and regional level to ensure traffic channel strategies are cost-effective, complementary and reach shared targets​ 
  • Develop and execute global strategies for SEO and manage the strategy execution at regional level to expand the company's global reach while considering language and cultural differences​ 
  • Continuously identify new SEO growth opportunities by analysing existing information architecture, keyword constructs, audits, and data/traffic analysis
  • Share SEO trends with buying and design teams to inform range design and influence buy volumes​
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline the content production process. Ensure a continuous flow of high-quality commercial content that helps educate customers about COS products and offering​
  • Initiate and drive external link-building campaigns alongside PR and digital marketing teams​
  • You constantly monitor COS search engine ranking, carry out in-depth competitor analysis and stay informed on tech trends impacting SEO​
  • Act as COS stakeholder towards our tech developers, communicating SEO priorities aligned with business goals

In addition to our values for this role we are also looking for:  

  • Experience in SEO position, either client or agency side for an B2C ecommerce website, either from luxury, fashion or high priced consumer goods.
  • Excellent knowledge of Google tools including GA4, Search Studio & Data Studio 
  • Experience in tools such as Advanced Web Rankings, botify, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog 
  • Created and delivered a strong content strategy across multiple geographies and languages using your knowledge of fashion trends and customer search patterns. 
  • Your excellent verbal and written communication skills motivate others, drive goals forward and you represent COS in a professional way​ 
  • You are flexible in your ability to collaborate with others and work independently, taking initiative based on the task and objective

In this role you will be able to take advantage of a hybrid working arrangement. You will have the flexibility to work both remotely and, from the office. While remote working is an integral part of our part of our offer, approx. 3 days per week office presence will be required to foster strong collaborations and team work.
