About this Job 

This is a senior role with a passion for being consultative and the ability to influence the highest levels of our clients and our own business.  This role is accountable for creating an account-level strategy for retention and growth, with a special focus on creating recurring revenue streams and expanding BASES’ penetration within our clients. The role will uncover and pursue opportunities for thought leadership, product customization, and new products/processes that benefit clients and BASES alike. The Global Client Leader is also accountable for leading BASES’ response to RFP’s from the client, while generally overseeing the health and accuracy of the global pipeline with consistent sales forecasting for their book of business. 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Own overall BASES revenue target/quota for given global client portfolio;
  • Lead the creation and activation of a client strategy/ account plan (including financial forecasting, pipeline management, broader NIQ/CBP collaboration), working collaboratively with regional sales teams and Specialty Sales leaders;
  • Penetrate senior client relationships, including C-suite.  Lead top-to-top meetings with the goal of uncovering unmet needs and to build BASES’ reputation as an indispensable partner;
  • Thoroughly understand the client’s strategy, market and competitor dynamics.  Leverage this to take the initiative to create incremental sales opportunities via matching BASES competencies to unmet client needs, including opportunities for deeper/more consultative engagement;
  • Communicate client context to the global BASES network associated with this/these client(s) and use it to open doors for local sell-in and to ensure delightful client delivery;
  • Represent all BASES services in a solution-agnostic manner.  Clearly and convincingly articulate BASES offerings and value proposition, matching them with relevant client business challenges/KPIs;
  • Maintain product/technical knowledge by participating in training sessions;
  • Be the client’s voice within BASES.  Liaise internally (i.e. Specialty Sales, PL, Ops) to assess the feasibility for commercialization of customized study approaches. Ensure their needs are well-represented in BASES priorities for improvement/innovation in our toolkit, processes, and thought leadership;
  • Be a senior presence, with strategic intervention to help global AD and CS teams to close high-value projects or troubleshoot high-visibility client concerns; 
  • Drive sales, maintaining a long-term perspective to maximize overall revenue generation while being able to generate short-term results; 
  • Lead global rate card/pricing guidance, where applicable, ensuring that BASES profitability guidelines are met, and implementing annual pricing increases.  Influence price-setting for new services;
  • Partner closely with NIQ AD teams on strategy, joint-selling, and potential RMS RFP responses; 
  • Manage Global BASES or NIQ client funds and ensure their usage for BASES products. 

REQUIREMENTS

  • 10+ years’ experience in a relevant industry (CPG, consulting, sales);
  • Relevant experience with research techniques & solutions in the related industries of Consumer Packaged Goods, Consulting, Information, Sales, Analytics or similar;
  • Effective in senior-level communications, influencing & negotiation;
  • Highly analytical and able to build insights-driven engagements. Creatively approaches business questions with a data-driven mindset;
  • Mission-driven and passionate about serving a purpose;
  • Excellent awareness of market conditions and client business environment;
  • Demonstrated record of creating and growing sales revenue year over year;
  • Strong team leadership skills; responsible for rallying a global team to success with key clients;
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software and Microsoft Dynamics as well as sales tools such as Salesloft;
  • Familiarity with NielsenIQ BASES/NielsenIQ tools, applications and platforms would be a plus;
  • Willingness to travel. UK/EU location is ideal.
