The Operational Readiness & Excellence department within Generation Offshore is responsible for delivering long-term success for our offshore wind farms, through managing large-scale change and product development projects.
The Operational Excellence team has been created to facilitate growth and the highest possible operating performance through maturing the way of working, particularly around fact-based decision making and implementing a continuous improvement culture.
About the role
We are looking for someone who is a real wizard in the field of building a continuous improvement culture in a multi-stakeholder and complex organisational and operational environment. You are intrinsically motived to get to the core of an issue and passionate about helping colleagues create ways of working that are simpler, better and more fulfilling.
The Improvement Manager is responsible for identifying, driving, organising and implementing improvements to ways of working in Offshore Wind Generation, on various levels in the organisation: from senior management to technicians on our wind farms. Your focus will be on enabling the organisation to improve value, by driving improvement projects and programmes, from strategic to operational. Your work will be derived from e.g. gap analysis, customer needs, strategy execution and performance data. “Performance” can include all business-relevant metrics, including Health, Safety, Security, Environment & Sustainability, Quality, Cost, and Revenue.
In addition, you will support with delivering a learning environment for stakeholders and colleagues to be able to initiate, prioritise, execute and implement improvements, including acting as a role-model and actively coaching and advising others on this way of working.
You are creative, curious, a good listener, are not afraid to challenge convention, and always seek to add the most value through your work by contributing to the overarching Vattenfall Strategy. You have excellent communication skills and feel at ease with taking initiative to challenge, inform and train others at all levels of seniority – whilst always looking for an opportunity to learn and develop yourself as well.
Be in your element with BA Wind
Business Area (BA) Wind is responsible for Vattenfall’s Onshore and Offshore Wind as well as other non-hydro Renewable activities like solar PV and batteries. Today we develop, construct and operate wind generation in Sweden, Denmark, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK. In addition, we have a clear strategy to develop our solar PV and battery operations further.
