Chief People Office

The Chief People Office (CPO) comprises a HR Business Partnering function who deliver people services with the support of the Centres of Excellence – Reward, Resourcing, HR Services & Systems, Organisational Effectiveness & Engagement & Communication and Real Estate & Facilities.  Our purpose is twofold; to drive business performance and enabling our people to be brilliant.

Job Description

Primary role purpose:

In this role, you will lead benefits programs across Europe, including health and well-being, time off and leaves of absence, pensions and retirement plans, and other benefits. You will oversee administration and compliance and manage the local team. You will also drive collaboration with key partners including local People & Culture, Compensation, Legal, Payroll, Talent Acquisition, and others to ensure success of programs. You will align corporate rewards philosophy with local market practices to attract, retain, and engage high calibre talent. This role is key to Viasat’s global employee experience and an exciting opportunity to be a part of Viasat’s global evolution. 

Qualifications

Key responsibilities include:

  • Execute initiatives throughout Europe in alignment with the strategy driven by Global Rewards and partner in other regions.
  • Manage local administration including eligibility management, auditing, and invoicing. 
  • Oversee relationship with local consultant and brokers, vendors, and insurers as applicable.
  • Lead employee communication efforts to help educate and promote benefits programs.
  • Champion well-being efforts. 
  • Manage oversight of current legislative and market practice, including union activities, and the evolution of internal programs accordingly.
  • Direct benefit plan renewals.
  • Culminate materials into presentations and dashboards.
  • Centrally track and update information internally.
  • Evaluate the total rewards package within the context benchmarks and each local market.
  • Find opportunities for operational efficiency and execute on solutions.

Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience in health and retirement benefits administration role, including experience in a people management role.
  • Highly organized and able to effectively prioritize a variety of concurrent responsibilities.
  • Team player with strong interpersonal skills and an ability to build rapport with stakeholders and partners.
  • Experience leading a team
  • Excellent customer service mindset
  • Experience with union requirements and consultations.
  • Maintains knowledge of best practices and stays current with industry trends.
  • Outstanding communicator comfortable with a variety of audiences
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal levels of supervision in a fast paced environment
  • Resourceful and curious
  • Analytical 
  • Proven success in project management and process improvement
  • Flexibility to work with time zones across the globe when needed
