Job Description

Over the last few months, the People team at Trainline have begun their systems transformation journey and we’re now looking for someone awesome to help us drive this forward, taking responsibility for our full People Tech ecosystem. This person will take the lead in driving productivity and efficiencies in the People team, bringing data and insights into our day-to-day decision making, whilst delivering a seamless user experience for our Trainliners and managers. 

Key Responsibilities 

  • Systems: own the overall People systems strategy and drive simplifications and continuous improvement in our processes and configurations, including implementation of new systems and development of existing ones. 

  • Data: extract the most benefit from the data within our people systems, turning complex data sets into tangible insights and recommendations that will help the People team and wider business increase understanding and drive positive change. 

  • Reporting: be the People team lead in contributing to the key reporting requirements across the business, such as the annual report, CSR and Gender Pay Gap.  

  • Compliance: work with the IT, Finance and Compliance teams to ensure we remain legally compliant at all times, ensuring the correct governance procedures are in place to minimise risks in the way we manage employee data.  

  • Projects: work with SMEs in the People team and wider business to project manage key employee lifecycle activity such as performance and pay review, employee voice initiatives, benefits and more. 

Qualifications

To join us in this role you will need: 

  • Experience working with a core HRIS (preferably HiBob but not essential) 

  • Experience working with complex employee data sets 

  • A sound knowledge of data governance and privacy legislation
