Job Description
To Analyse and improve extrusion output, quality and stability and to understand and rectify extrusion weak points and help the extrusion team in getting maximum output of our extrusion department.
You will be responsible in setting extrusion standards, be this in safety, quality or extruder running speeds and conditions. You will also have responsibility for; the development and implementation of training procedures, work instructions and SOP’s and the co-ordination and provision of training and re-training to new and existing Extrusion operators in conjunction with SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures).
To execute your duties in line with all company systems and procedures in place to support product safety, legality, integrity and quality, including systems for escalating issues to a designated manager where immediate action is required.
- Assess Extrusion training needs for individuals in conjunction with Lead Operators/Extrusion
- Actively participate in the recruitment of Extrusion operators.
- Identify and address key skill-gaps within the extruder teams
- Participate in personal training and development to ensure personal skills and knowledge are maintained and developed.
- Stand in for the Extrusion Manager should they be off site.
Qualifications
- Level 2 - GCSE (grades A*-C)
- Experience of delivering training to individuals and small groups
- The ability to work to deadlines
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Strong time management and organisation skills
