Job Descrption
1 Resource Group is currently hiring a Pump Mechanic for our client located in Alvin, TX. As a Pump Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing hands-on repairs and maintenance on pumps and related equipment. You will work in a team-oriented environment to ensure the optimal performance and reliability of the equipment. Must be able to travel as needed.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot system failures and equipment malfunctions
- Perform repairs and maintenance on various types of pumps, including centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, and submersible pumps
- Inspect and test pumps to ensure proper functioning and performance
- Replace and repair defective parts, such as seals, valves, bearings, and impellers
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks, including lubrication and cleaning
- Document all maintenance and repair activities accurately and completely
- Collaborate with other team members and departments to ensure efficient and effective operations
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Pump Mechanic or similar role working on ANSI pumps
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Knowledge of pump operation and maintenance
- Experience with centrifugal pumps, reciprocating pumps, and submersible pumps
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and diagrams
- Excellent problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
