Company Description

eEnergy empower organisations to achieve net zero by tackling energy waste and transitioning to clean energy, without the need for upfront investment. We are looking for a business development manager who can identify partners that want to help their own clients and/or supply chain meet their sustainability objectives, by introducing eEnergy. The outcome is reduced costs and carbon for the client, a new client for eEnergy and an additional revenue stream for the partner. You will be responsible for managing existing partners, sourcing new partnerships and closing the sale directly with the client. You will be pitching and demonstrating our MY ZeERO sub metering solution in person or remotely.

MY ZeERO securely streams real-time electricity consumption, metering, and sensor data to our cloud platform, offering invaluable insight into business’s energy usage patterns. MY ZeERO’s cutting-edge technology enables customers to pinpoint unnecessary energy consumption, cut costs and reduce carbon emissions. Additionally, you will be able to leverage our wider group services via our brands eSolar, eCharge and eLight.

Job Description

  • Create a systematic, impact-led approach to customer outreach with a specific focus towards large energy using segments.
  • Provide consulting services leading with key challenges and drivers in the ESG and climate space. 
  • Grow new business and customer acquisition through lead generation, pipeline development, scoping complex and ambitious strategic decarbonisation solutions in order to win new business opportunities for eEnergy. 
  • Build customer confidence in eEnergy as a trusted advisor and strategic partner for all of their ESG, sustainability and climate related topics such as:
    • Net Zero and associated drivers
    • Sustainability and climate related strategy; from early development to execution of said strategy
    • ESG, energy and sustainability reporting standards and frameworks (SBTi, ESOS, TCFD, CSRD, etc.)
    • Developing and deploying energy, carbon and/or tech decarbonisation solutions across scope 1, 2 and 3.
  • Collaborate with other key stakeholders across the business to develop and execute on strategic consulting solutions.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to the consulting delivery team, analysts and solutions architects to achieve optimal customer outcomes.
  •  Work with the marketing team to create and run targeted campaigns.
  • Support the development and execution of the go-to-market strategy with the leadership team.  

You will have an appropriate quarterly and annual sales target as provided the Chief Strategy Officer.

Qualifications

Essential

  • Demonstrable years of experience and a proven track record in consulting, developing new opportunities and delivering new business.
  • Specific experience in consulting selling, ideally experience selling sustainability, efficiency, renewables and/or energy strategy related work.
  • Proven track record of developing large accounts, and being able to grow and expand business opportunities.
  • Ability to nurture leads and opportunities, with a track record of consistently achieving sales targets in a high-pressure environment.
  • A passion for and understanding of sustainable energy solutions.
  • Experience pitching to C-Suite / Senior individuals in a B2B business development role.
  • Strong communication skills and honed negotiation skills
  • Result and Target driven – a very strong desire to meet targets
  • Appetite for growth and desire to take on more responsibilities
  • A team player, responsible and comfortable with accountability
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office environment and CRM systems, preferably Salesforce.
  • Personal qualities including self-driven, autonomous, collaborative, influential, reliable, curious and creative.
