Aescape is seeking a Staff Computer Vision Engineer at Aescape who can demonstrate curiosity, a strong sense of urgency, and a commitment to taking ownership of projects from conception to deployment. Your objectives will include developing innovative perception algorithms and data pipelines to drive the success of our autonomous product. Collaborating cross-functionally with various teams, you’ll contribute to our audacious goal of revolutionizing the massage therapy industry. This role is either remote or based out of New York, NY United States.

What You’ll Do

As a Staff Computer Vision Engineer at Aescape you will:

  • Create and maintain the software core of our product, collaborating closely with a talented team.

  • Lead the development of perception algorithms and data pipelines essential for our autonomous product.

  • Enhance perception capabilities by tuning 3D perception sensors and implementing scene segmentation.

  • Design, plan, and implement methods to interpret user body state through remote sensing and palpation data.

  • Develop an anatomically accurate 3D model personalized for each member, integrating all relevant data seamlessly.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5 plus years in software development.

  • Deep C++ expertise and fluency in Python.

  • Experience in deep learning applied to computer vision tasks.

  • Experience in classical computer vision and signal processing algorithms.

  • Iteratively creating algorithms and deploying them to production.

  • Hands-on experience in generating high-quality data for training deep learning based algorithms.

  • Experience working with 3D computer graphics.

  • Ability to work hybrid in our beautiful office in NYC; remote candidates will be considered.

  • High emotional intelligence (EQ), you’re aware of yourself and others.

  • A driven self-starter who thrives in sometimes ambiguous situations.

  • Strong written and verbal skills, you use inclusive language to ensure understanding.

  • Collaboration skills, you easily communicate effectively with diverse audiences.

Nice-to-have, but not required

  • MSc or PhD in CS or related engineering field (physics, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, applied math, etc.).

  • Prior experience in CUDA development.

  • Robotics and ROS experience.
