Job Description:

The Senior Direct Sales Representative for our EMEA team is an outside sales opportunity with accounts across a diverse market and will leverage the DTN Energy & Refined Fuels and Weather & Climate Intelligence product suites. You will work closely with the existing sales team and build on their experience.  

What you will be responsible for:

  • Developing new clients through strategic prospecting, relationship building and solution-selling, with a focus on our relevant services in the EMEA Region for industries whose operations are impacted by Weather. By understanding, challenging and teaching you will help clients manage their weather risks and ensure safer, more profitable operations and activities.

  • Customer responsive and service focused, engaging communication with active listening and problem solving for customers, internal and external, to understand their needs and how DTN solutions may be of benefit and serve those needs.

  • Creating presentations and solution proposals and demonstrating products in person or via Web Meeting.

  • Timely and accurate reporting and management of a pipeline of new business as well as increasing share of wallet with existing customers.

  • Identifying and communicating sales leads and opportunities through use of CRM system.

  • Visiting prospective clients and existing customers in the assigned territory with frequent and regular travel within assigned territory.

  • As part of a performance-based team, will be required to meet or exceed sales plan.

  • Negotiating contracts and close agreements to maximize profits.

What you will bring to the role:

  • 5+ years of software or “SaaS” / “DaaS” sales and territory management experience (and/or partner channel management).

  • Experience in a Challenger Sales role/environment would be advantageous.

  • Demonstrated strengths in relationship building, problem solving, and solutions selling with the added in-depth knowledge of key industries impacted by weather and the importance of weather risk mitigation.

  • A self-starter with proven track record of delivering sales results. Must be assertive, self-motivated and results-driven. A strong team player who can work in a fast-paced environment under pressure.

  • Strong knowledge of working with a CRM system – Salesforce.com preferred.

  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal and accountability abilities.

  • Confident dealing with high/senior level Decision Making Units.

  • Can recognize and demonstrate Value to all levels of an organization.

  • Understands dynamics of complex sales, multi-faceted buyer processes and key issues and drivers that underpin most businesses.

The targeted hiring base pay range for this position is between 58,000 GBP and 72,500 GBP annually. DTN is a pay for performance organization, which means there is the opportunity to advance your compensation with performance over time. The actual base pay offered for this position will be dependent upon many factors, including but not limited to: prior work experiences, training/education, transferable skills, business needs, internal equity and applicable laws. The targeting hiring base pay range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This role may also be eligible for market competitive variable pay and benefits.
