Job purpose

This position is located at BorgWarner’s PTC in Auburn Hills, MI.

BorgWarner Morse Systems is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as an HR Intern at our Propulsion Technical Center (PTC), Auburn Hills, MI. Must be able to work 20-30 hours a week while enrolled as a full-time student.

In this role, the HR Intern will be primarily responsible for the support of the administration and coordination of HR projects/activities and is the first interface for employees for multiple business units. The HR Intern will be given exposure to different areas of human resources including legal, diversity, inclusion, benefits, compensation, internal communication, and recruitment. They will be presented with opportunities to experience leading hands-on projects, recruiting activities, and other Human Resource activities as advised for the Morse Systems employees within global locations.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide first level of assistance to the global HR team and the employees in a timely effective manner.
  • Help to optimize the online tools and technology within the HR community, learning management system administration, and support in learning content development.
  • Support in internal communication activities and coordination of onboarding and communication back-end platforms.
  • Assist in database management, and analysis to align with business metrics.
  • Benchmark HR practices and support process improvement actions.
  • Participate in global diversity and inclusion planning and support.
  • Perform other related responsibilities as assigned or required.

What we’re looking for

  • A motivated and dynamic Undergraduate/Graduate full-time student attending an accredited University
  • Minimum 3.0 GPA
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and PowerPoint
