The Electrician, under supervision of the Facility Operations Manager is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical equipment/systems for the Brown & Brown Daytona Beach campus, plus all other designated company properties.
What You'll Do:
- Performs routine maintenance tasks, repairs, and fixes
- Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including fuses, lights, and wiring
- Operate and performs maintenance on generators and associated equipment
- Inspect, test, and diagnose issues with electrical systems and components
- Perform all work in a manner that meets and follows electrical codes, blueprints, and standards
- Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning
- Complete required documentation of repairs and service information
- Ensure adequate inventory of necessary supplies and parts
- Calibrate equipment to provided specifications
- Perform preventative maintenance on electrical systems and components
- Other duties may be assigned.
What You'll Need
- Working knowledge of electrical theory, and the associated principles, materials, and equipment
- Knowledge and skill using testing devices such as voltmeters and ohmmeters
- Comfortable reading and understanding electrical blueprints, schematics, and diagrams
- Ability to calculate basic mathematical problems
- Troubleshoot problems and make timely repairs
- 3-5 years of electrical experience
- Valid driver's license in state of Florida
- Willing to work overtime and take on-call
