HR Business Partner Director,  R&D  

Location: Palo Alto, CA (Onsite or Hybrid)

Intapp’s People Team is seeking an experienced and energetic HR Business Partner Director, R&D. The ideal candidate will be confident at the strategic level and motivated to deliver at a tactical level. The HR Business Partner Director will focus on developing and implementing an HR strategy with business leaders to ensure that these strategies are aligned with Intapp’s business objectives. This HR Leader will partner with the senior business leaders along with their respective leadership teams to develop and execute the HR strategies and activities that foster growth, innovation, and organizational effectiveness. The individual in this role will assess the human resources needs in areas such as workforce management, employee relations, career development, retention, and leadership development and drive the appropriate solutions in these areas. 

What you will do:

  • Understand Intapp’s business model and objectives and contribute to the development of both business and HR strategies that align with objectives
  • Drive informed decision-making by using data to identify trends; work with business leaders to determine the root cause of issues; develop organizational effectiveness solutions
  • Identify and take action on coaching opportunities, including the facilitation of individual, team, and leadership interventions
  • Partner with senior leadership and recruiting to develop workforce plans and staffing models that support business objectives and advance the business and functions
  • Support the implementation of structures and strategies to improve individual and organizational performance
  • Provides consultation on employee engagement and retention designed to support the desired organizational culture
  • Ensures effective leadership teams and benches through development, hiring, and coaching
  • Provides advice and guidance on performance management, including leadership development, accelerated development, succession planning, coaching talent reviews, and terminations
  • Engage and influence senior management to support and implement HR initiatives across the organization
  • Proactively work with the client group and HR leadership to propose and drive new HR initiatives that align with business needs

What you will need:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or Business Management or related field or equivalent work experience
  • 10+ years of broad HR experience, including HR generalist experience and at least 8 years of Strategic Business Partner experience
  • Prior experience as an HR Business Partner supporting R&D teams a huge plus
  • Prior HR experience working for a fast-paced software or tech company preferred
  • Strong business and HR acumen-ability to align people programs with business needs
  • Proven successful track record crafting and deploying people strategies particularly around Employee Engagement, Talent Planning, and Leader development
  • Proven ability to understand strategic organizational issues and influence change
  • Strong facilitation skills: facilitating meetings, decisions, programs, and change efforts
  • Demonstrated competence in the various HR functional areas: employee engagement, performance management, learning and development, data and analytics, etc.
  • Has successfully supported various business groups and all levels of leadership in the organization
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels
  • Strong relationship management skills
  • Ability to prioritize and execute on key objectives
  • Ability, flexibility and experience working in a dynamic expanding Global work environment where change and ambiguity are a part of the job

  • For California based roles, Base Pay Range is $185,000.00 - $220,000/yr.

Your actual base salary will be determined by factors such as relevant experience, geographic location, and internal equity. In addition to base salary, variable compensation and equity may also be included.
